Stack Labs sets up shop in Montréal

After establishing itself in the French market, Stack Labs, a consulting firm specializing in cloud computing platforms and DevOps (software development and cloud computing infrastructure administration), has chosen Montréal to set up its first foreign subsidiary. As companies of all sizes must speed up their digital transformation and adapt to technological changes, Stack Labs plans to hire some twenty specialists over the next three years to meet demand and break into the North American market.

The Stack Labs team supports its clients in the use of cloud computing platforms by providing services in microservice architecture, infrastructure automation, cybersecurity and FinOps (cloud consumption optimization). As a Google Cloud Premier Partner, Stack Labs has many recognized and certified specialists (Kubernetes, Google Cloud, AWS) who are invited as guest speakers at major events such as DevFest, Devoxx and to Google Developer Groups.

“Montréal’s AI ecosystem is recognized around the world and that’s what first attracted us to this city,” said Frédéric Volpi, CEO of Stack Labs. “Some of our company’s core values include sharing knowledge and technical excellence. As such, we believe Montréal’s spirit of collaboration will allow us to achieve our most ambitious projects.”

“At Stack Labs, we believe that diversity enriches a community, as is the case for Montréal. Hiring professionals from different backgrounds is an advantage for a tech company such as ours as it gives us different perspectives,” stated Boris-Wilfried Nyasse, manager of Stack Labs’ Montréal subsidiary.

“As major cities in the world are planning their economic recovery, I am pleased to see Greater Montréal can keep leveraging its leading-edge sectors to attract foreign investment,” said Stéphane Paquet, President and CEO of Montréal International. “Stack Labs is a prime example of a company that wants to integrate into Montréal’s ecosystem in the spirit of collaboration.”
